Abstract
It is a compendium of several real-world communities facing aspects of the problem. The case study covers the policy implications of an adult business ordinance in the (fictitious) City of Alta Valley. The case describes the basic setting of the community, history of the issue, current issues surrounding the development of a new adult business ordinance, stakeholders and their positions and possible alternative policy solutions. This case is applicable in courses on public policy making, policy analysis and planning, local government administration and community involvement in the policy process. It is currently being used in a graduate-level MPA course on public policy issue analysis and serves as the core case for the analytical paper in the class.
